Meet Our Team

Joanna Bone

CEO & Trainer

Hello I’m Jo!

I have a dedicated passion for the first aid courses we provide and a drive to make your training relevant to the industry you work or live in.

We focus on the Agricultural industry and I truly believe our mission and values that are embedded in everything we do, sets us apart in the training sector.

I have worked on Cattle Stations for 18 years and I’m also a Registered Nurse with a metropolitan critical care and a rural and remote Nurse Educator background. It is this combination of life experience that I bring into your home or workplace when you train with us.

I encourage your questions and discussions as this drives what you will remember during the year and I know for a fact that our scenario-based training solidifies the theory knowledge you will gain with us… it’s the best of both worlds!

I look forward to seeing you for some fun whilst learning how to provide lifesaving skills.

David Bone

Director & Trainer

My dedication to the agricultural industry stems back over 20 years working on cattle properties in the Gulf of QLD, the Barkley region of the NT and most recently around Roma in South West QLD.

I recognise the importance of being prepared for an emergency on station and our first aid training is focused on what to do while you wait for emergency services to arrive. Safety on station is a complex environment and I try to apply a practical approach to this topic so as to protect the integrity of our diverse industry.

In addition to first aid, I deliver a range of machinery and safety training programs. My approach is hands-on and built around ensuring operators understand not only how to operate equipment, but also why safe operating procedures matter in the workplace. Each course combines compliance requirements with real-world application to develop practical skills, operational capability, and appropriate safety attitudes for work in rural and remote environments.

All of our trainers have industry experience and a passion for delivering training that is meaningful to you. We look forward to seeing you out there in the bush!

Rachel Chaston

RTO Manager

Hi I’m Rach!

My love for the country began growing up on a farm, where I spent my weekends riding horses and working cattle with my sister and Dad. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work and the beauty of rural life.

As a young adult my adventurous spirit led me around the world chasing the snow, but now I live with my husband and our two young boys who keep me so very busy!

At ATS, we support learners in navigating our nationally recognised training programs, with a focus on clear information, structured support, and high-quality customer service throughout enrolment and course participation.

Feel free to reach out with any questions—I’m here to help!
