About this course

AHCMOM216 Operate Side by Side Utility Vehicles describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a side by side utility vehicle (SSUV) to carry out routine work activities in agricultural, pastoral, remote and land management environments. The unit applies to individuals who operate SSUVs in rural and remote workplaces, including farms, stations, pastoral properties and land management settings, where vehicles are used across varying terrain and environmental conditions.

Side-by-side vehicles are common across farms, stations, and remote worksites, and safe operation is essential to minimise risk and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded the following unit of competency:

AHCMOM216 – Operate side by side utility vehicles

Completion of this unit does not automatically grant a licence or authorisation to operate equipment where additional regulatory or workplace requirements apply.

Why choose us?

We’ll come to you

We know it’s hard for people in rural and remote areas to access training services, that’s why we have trainers on the road that will bring the courses to you.

Please note training is undertaken using your machine so terms and conditions apply. Safety and compliance regulations apply to all machines used during our courses, and we will notify you of these upon engagement.

Industry specific training

All our trainers have extensive knowledge of the agricultural industry and rural living, so our courses are relatable and industry focused.

Have fun!

Our courses are designed to be fun, interesting, and interactive but delivered in a way where scenarios are relatable to rural and remote environments and relevant to the agricultural industry.

Accessible learner management system

We use a Learner Management System (LMS) which makes it easy to complete knowledge assessment requirements, access certificates quickly and keeps your portfolio for future training.

Course content
